Foreign Minister Rassoul holds telephone conversation with Indian counterpart
Foreign Minister Dr. Zalmai Rassoul spoke by phone with the Foreign Secretary of India, Mr. S.M. Krishna.
During the phone conversation, Foreign Minister Rassoul condemned the terrorist attack, which resulted in the loss of life and injury of a number of Afghan citizens and Afghanistan’s foreign friends. He expressed his deepest condolences on the loss of life and injury of Indian nationals who had come to Afghanistan in support of the Afghan people.
On his part, Foreign Secretary Krishna condemned the attack and expressed condolences and sympathies on the death and injury of Afghans.
The two-sides reiterated that Afghanistan-India relations were founded on deep friendly, historical and cultural commonalities. They also reaffirmed that acts of terrorism are against human values, and would in no way jeopardize the friendly and fruitful cooperation between their two countries.
